When creating a new project, I get the following error: “ODAC not found. Some product functions will not be available” | This error message means the ODAC driver you are currently using is not compatible with Oracle Reports Converter. Download and install the ODAC112040Xcopy_64bit.zip file from the official Oracle website. Please check the user guide for more details. |
I do not have Oracle Forms for conversion. Can I leave the “Forms folder” field empty? | Yes, you can run the Oracle Reports Converter without Oracle Forms, using Oracle Reports exclusively. |
Clicking on “Run Assessment Report” results in the error: frmf2xml.bat not found | If you received the “frmf2xml.bat not found” error, then you should check your Oracle Forms and Reports version. Oracle Forms and Reports Converter works with Oracle Forms and Reports 9i and later. You can download Oracle Forms and Reports from the official Oracle website. If you run Oracle Forms and Reports 9i and later, make sure the “Oracle home folder” is correctly specified and looks as follows: c:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\. |
Clicking on “Run Assessment Report” results in the error: rwconverter.exe not found | Make sure you have installed Oracle Reports Builder/Developer, not only Oracle Forms Builder/Developer. You can download Oracle Reports Builder/Developer from the official Oracle website. Check your Oracle Forms and Reports version. Oracle Forms Converter works with Oracle Forms and Reports 9i and later. If you run Oracle Forms and Reports 9i and later, make sure the file “rwconverter.exe” is located at “Oracle home folder”\bin\rwconverter.exe. Make sure the “Oracle home folder” is correctly specified and looks as follows: c:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_Home\. |
How can I use Oracle Reports Converter on Linux? | Currently, Oracle Forms Converter does not support Linux. Therefore, you can install Oracle Forms Converter only on a PC running on Windows. However, if you use Linux to manage your Oracle Forms, you can convert sources of Oracle Forms to the XML format (see How can I get XML files from the source forms’ FMB files? and How can I get XML files from the source reports’ RDF files?). Copy these XML files to a PC running on Windows and then run Oracle Forms Converter in the XML mode on this PC. |
