Operations in details

This page describes the main operations available in Oracle Forms Converter.

After creating a new project, you can execute one of these three operations: Run Assessment Report, Convert, and Publish.

The Run Assessment Report operation creates a detailed Assessment Report. This report helps estimate the complexity of your Oracle Forms. Also, it provides users with an approximate estimate of efforts required to complete the Oracle Forms modernization project. After obtaining the Assessment Report in the Oracle Forms Converter, you may want to get additional information. The Convert operation converts your Oracle Forms and libraries in XML and PLD formats into JS and SQL files. After conversion, the application displays converted objects in the target database metadata tree.
The Publish operation builds a web application with converted modules and publishes the generated SQL packages for each module into the target database. After publishing, you can use the Google Chrome browser to open the converted application using the link http://localhost:3000/.
